Anyone know of any plans about whether Bill and Mickey will be touring with Phil/Bob/John K in some incarnation next year?

Haven't heard anything, but I'll be surprised if the "core four" play together next year. After all, they didn't get the best of reviews on the 2009 tour.

"2009 tour was pretty lame."

It started pretty lame, but gained momentum as it progressed. There were some bright spots, but just when it looked like it was all coming together came up lame again. If they are gonna tour together again, consistency is what needs the most work.

It really sucks to pay a C note for a ticket and get a mediocre performance. And when you can fall asleep during the second set(NO drugs involved)it is a mediocre performance. Then hearing people rave about how great the show 2 days later was makes it suck even worse.

I was at both Spectrum shows in '09. It was amazing. (The very few, and expected)Low moments aside, what was there not to like? Not a threadjacking effort...

Was it me or were there some 'personalities' in conflict on that tour ? I recently went back and listened to a ' best of ' of the whole tour . Not much there , a year away .

I really tried to get into it , Listened to all the shows, download some SBDs , re-listened , and ended up a little disappointed . I made me more skeptical on Furthur , which I like better ( though give me Warren's voice over John's any day).
In rumorville, I heard that as the tour went on Billy, got bored, and started heavy duty partying ; and ( I love this if it is true ) Mickey's "Old Lady" was on board , and a real pain in the ass , and the rest of the band didn't want her around (!)
Sad to say, I think they sound better as a band without them . Some of the drums segments were great, though I got tired of Mickey's set piece, things with the political stuff,( though it was hard to hear ), seemed kind of cheezy .
Still I would like to see them work together again , someway .
